A nationally recognised and regulated qualification, specifically designed for existing QA Centre IQAs required to develop occupational competence in mental health. It enables IQAs to develop their understanding of mental health issues in the workplace, as well as how best to support friends, relatives, and employees experiencing mental health issues.
Understanding mental health in the workplace has never before been so important. Did you know that in 2017/18, 595,000 workers suffered from work-related stress, depression, or anxiety and as a result, 15.4 million working days were lost? The main factors cited were workload pressures including tight deadlines, too much responsibility, and a lack of managerial support.
The QA Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) qualification has been designed to address these issues and provide IQA-qualified, QA Centre learners with the confidence and occupational competence to help facilitate mental health initiatives and employee support.
